The application platform
built for the performing arts.
A BFA application is really two applications, one academic and one artistic, times fifteen schools. Each school has its own prescreen rules, repertoire requirements, and deadlines. MyMT keeps every piece of it straight, from first school list to final decision.
No credit card needed. When you're ready, full season access is a one-time $75.
Built for the
whole season.
Find the right schools, build your audition book, and run the season without dropping anything.

What Families Are Saying
Real feedback from parents navigating the MT application journey. Average rating 9.1 / 10 from 25 beta-program responses (February–March 2026).
This program is total game changer for keeping this wild process organized. There are so many details it's easy to get confused or miss things, but this fixes that. So grateful!
Both my daughter and I love MTManager so far. It's super well-organized and easy to navigate. There are so many great features. As she is just starting out researching schools, we have created multiple lists to keep them in different categories. The gathered information is saving us tons of time we would have had to gather ourselves. It's great that you can click each school to be redirected right to the school website too. Highly recommended!
We started the Musical Theater process with mock auditions during the fall of my daughter's junior year. I was already creating my own spreadsheets and becoming buried in the details of each program. I recognized that I would have to go back and research each program to ensure no details had changed from Junior to Senior year.
MyMT Manager simplifies the entire process and provides real-time updates based on information provided by each university and individual musical theater program. MyMT manager doesn't stop there, you can customize your views to include price, dorm/housing requirements, prescreen details, due dates, academic requirements, and more.
I am excited there is finally a comprehensive program to view musical theater college programs, and I can't wait to start organizing and tracking the application process with my rising senior.
As the parent of a junior starting a college list, MyMT Manager has already been invaluable in researching schools. I can't imagine the hours it will save us as we embark on this journey. The site is easy to navigate and offers a wealth of information.
From the moment my daughter told me she wanted to go to school for Musical Theatre we have been all over the internet to try and find schools/conservatories. Thanks to Parag's MYMT Website it is bundled into one package that is so easy to navigate. Not only is it easy to navigate, you are able to take notes, list favorites, compare schools side by side and so many more nifty features. THANK YOU so much for listening to the performing arts community and making this VERY stressful process a little LESS stressful!
Common questions.
Common questions about MyMT Manager. If your question isn't answered here, drop us a line.
What is MyMT Manager?
MyMT Manager is a comprehensive application management tool designed specifically for students applying to performing arts programs (Musical Theater, Acting, Theater, Design / Tech, Stage Management, etc). It helps you research schools, build your audition book from curated song and monologue libraries, track applications, manage auditions, create scorecards, work with your coaches, evaluate financial aid, and make final decisions, all in one organized platform.
How many schools are in the database?
Our database currently tracks 989 schools and 1,696 programs across Musical Theater (310 programs), Acting (200 programs), Design / Tech (201 programs), and broader Theater (983 programs). For each one we record prescreen requirements, audition formats, deadlines, and cost information. We’re continually updating and adding new programs. Every year prior to the start of the new application season, we update all pre-screen, audition, and date information to ensure it’s current and accurate.
What are "Discover Me" schools?
What: Discover Me schools are programs we’ve identified but haven’t yet fully researched. They include basic info like school name, location, cost, size, and links to program websites, but prescreen requirements, audition details, and deadlines haven’t been gathered or validated by a person yet.
Why: There are hundreds of theater programs across the country, and many aren’t as well known. A Discover Me school could be a hidden gem that turns out to be the perfect fit for you. We include them so you have the broadest possible view of your options while we work on gathering complete details.
How to use them: You can add Discover Me schools to your lists, applications, and scorecards just like any other school. Use the program website links to do your own research into their requirements and audition process. If a Discover Me school catches your eye, dig into their website. You might find exactly what you’re looking for.
What's in the song and monologue libraries?
The Song Library holds 862 audition songs from 173 shows. Each one is cross-verified against published track listings and tagged by voice type, era, tempo, difficulty, and prescreen safety, including honest flags on pieces that are overdone. It also includes audition lists hand-curated by a working musical theater director. The monologue catalog has 250+ pieces, classical and contemporary, tagged by age range, gender, length, genre, and content advisories. Public-domain monologues include the full text right in the app. For published contemporary plays we show the plot context and link you to the real script, because monologue-mill material has no place in a college audition. You can organize both into lists and slot pieces directly into each school’s prescreen and audition requirements.
Does MyMT suggest schools?
Yes. As you save schools, MyMT suggests programs that students with similar lists also saved, plus schools that resemble the ones you’re drawn to. Suggestions show up on a dedicated Discover Schools page and quietly at the bottom of your lists, where they stay out of your way. If a suggestion doesn’t interest you, dismiss it and it won’t come back. If you’d rather not see suggestions at all, one toggle in Settings turns the whole thing off. We’d also point you at our selectivity tiers, which rate how competitive each BFA MT program is, and the Portfolio Balance view that shows whether your list leans too reach-heavy.
How do you find the school information?
It’s a pain! We start with scraping tools that go to each individual school’s website and do their best to pull information. That usually gets you about 75% of the way there. Then we iterate on that, and as a final step, hire people to review all the data. We love to hire BFA students and graduates, who know how this process works, to validate the data. This step is critically important! While it’s impossible to get to 0 errors, we know that the value in this is the data. So we want it to be as accurate as possible.
Is this vibe coded?
No! I’ve been building this for well over a year. There’s no way to properly vibe code something like this in a week and throw it over the fence, and have a good longer term, stable, scalable outcome. I’m a software and systems engineer by training (in robotics). I know how to develop software that is robust and secure. Like a lot of modern software engineers, I use AI-assisted coding. But that means using AI to help with the process - not drive it. I control the architectural, tech stack, and implementation details. Does that mean there won’t be bugs? Absolutely not! All software has bugs, and this will also. I’ll do my best to squash them as they get discovered.
How is my data kept secure?
I’m a software and systems engineer by training. We take a security-first approach that’s appropriate for this level of application. This means:
- Encrypted connections: All data transmitted over HTTPS with modern TLS certificates
- Secure authentication: Industry-standard password hashing (bcrypt) with strict password requirements, HttpOnly session cookies, and automatic session timeouts
- Role-based access control: Separate permission levels for students, coaches, and administrators
- Input validation: All user inputs validated and sanitized before processing
- Rate limiting: Protection against brute-force attacks on login and registration
- Server hardening: Automated intrusion detection (fail2ban), firewall rules, and regular backups before every deployment
- No sensitive financial data: MyMT does not store payment card numbers, SSNs, or bank account information. All payment data is processed by Stripe.
- Privacy by design: Student data is private by default; sharing with coaches requires explicit opt-in
How do I get started?
Go to https://app.mymtmanager.com and register. It’s free to start, and you’ll get the full workflow on a sample of the catalog so you can see how everything works. When you’re ready, upgrading to full access for the season is one click.
Is there a free tier?
Yes. Sign up and you get the complete workflow (lists, side-by-side comparison, the application tracker, and the scorecard) with a 20-school sample of the atlas and a 20-song preview of the Song Library. Test everything with real data, see if it earns a place in your season, and upgrade only if it does.
Does this replace coaching?
Absolutely not! It’s really intended to augment the various types of coaching available (artistic, school selection, etc). Coaches provide a wealth of insider knowledge, personal experience, and connections that an app can’t duplicate. However, we also know how expensive coaching can be, and by providing some tools to ease the logistics part of the process, we hope we can make the whole process more affordable. We’re not going to create an AI-coach. I think that kind of thing can have some value for basic questions (“how do I slate my video?”), but again - the real value in coaching is the relationship and knowledge that develops between the coach and student. AI isn’t going to replace that.
What does it cost?
A full season of access is a one-time $75 payment, not a subscription, and it covers the entire audition cycle. The whole MT application process can be deeply inequitable and costly, and we want to make sure as many people can have access to this as need it. We partner with Pittsburgh Unified Auditions to offer free PUA-school access to PUA participants, with a reduced-cost ($40) upgrade path to full access. And coaches are always free when they connect to their students’ accounts. We are not trying to make a living off of this. I’m charging enough to cover actual costs, be able to pay BA/BFA students to validate data, etc. This is a passion project for me, since both my wife and daughter are in this industry.
Retire the spreadsheet.
The whole season lives in one place: schools, songs, monologues, deadlines, and decisions. Start free and see your season laid out in an afternoon. Break a leg, not a sweat.
